Patching
to
Cause Traffic Restrictions on U.S. 20 in Buchanan County

Concrete patching
work on U.S. 20 between Buchanan County Road V-62 near Jesup and exit
266 (Iowa 187) one mile west of Masonville, will cause traffic to be
restricted to one lane in both directions, through the work zones,
starting today, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s
(DOT) Manchester construction office.
All lanes are expected to be open on Saturdays and Sundays. Also, an
11-foot width lane restriction will be in place. The project is
expected to be completed Aug. 27, weather permitting.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed
limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines
for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work
zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles
and wear seat belts. |
